Croatia is among the world's cleanest water areas. Due to the unique ecosystem, 135 Croatian marinas and beaches have received this year the Blue Flag award. In order to be awarded the Blue Flag, beaches must comply with 32 criteria, including water quality, safety and services, environmental management and environment education and information.
